Where we shoot

The campus spots that actually photograph well

Everybody knows the library. Fewer people know that the south lawn goes flat after 5pm in November, or that Theta Pond is unusable on a windy Saturday. This is where I take seniors, and when.

  1. 01

    Edmon Low Library

The most recognizable building on the Oklahoma State campus. The south lawn and the columns both photograph beautifully in late afternoon.

216 Athletic Ave, Stillwater, OK 74078

  2. 02

    Theta Pond

Willows, water, and the arched bridge. Best an hour before sunset, when the light comes through the trees from the west.

University Ave & Monroe St, Stillwater, OK 74078

  3. 03

    Boone Pickens Stadium

The classic Cowboy senior frame. Gate access varies by season, so we plan this one around the athletics calendar.

700 W Hall of Fame Ave, Stillwater, OK 74078

  4. 04

    The Business Building

Clean modern lines and covered walkways, the reliable choice when the Oklahoma wind refuses to cooperate.

Athletic Ave & S Hester St, Stillwater, OK 74078

  5. 05

    Downtown Stillwater

Brick storefronts along Main Street give a warmer, less collegiate feel for seniors who want something different.

    Main St, Stillwater, OK 74074

  6. 06

    Block 34

Downtown’s open-air park, with native gardens, the covered pavilion, and interactive public art. Shade when you need it and color that changes with the season.

    218 W 9th Ave, Stillwater, OK 74074

  7. 07

    The Botanic Garden at OSU

Tulips in spring, prairie grasses in fall. The most colorful option in town and my personal favorite in April.

    3300 W 6th Ave, Stillwater, OK 74078

  8. 08

    Eagle Heights Baptist Church

Quiet grounds on the north side of town, and an easy indoor option when the weather turns. Arranged with the church ahead of your date.

    2617 N Jardot Rd, Stillwater, OK 74075

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    Pick your date

Message me with a rough window. I’ll send back the open dates plus the golden-hour time for each one, since that is when we actually want to be shooting.

  2. 02

    Plan the locations

We choose one or two spots together. I send a what-to-wear guide with real examples, and we talk through outfits before you buy anything.

  3. 03

    Shoot for 60 minutes

Bring whoever you want: parents, your dog, your best friend to hold the reflector. I direct the whole way through, so you never have to guess what to do.

  4. 04

    Get your gallery

A handful of favorites within 48 hours, and the full edited set in a private online gallery within two weeks, with a print release included.

Senior session questions

Can we shoot on the Oklahoma State campus?
Absolutely. It is the most requested backdrop I photograph. Edmon Low Library, Theta Pond, and the Business Building are the reliable favorites, and Boone Pickens Stadium is available depending on the athletics calendar.
How many outfits can I bring?
Two or three is what the hour comfortably fits, and it is what most seniors bring. There is somewhere to change at every location I use, so plan the outfits around the light rather than the clock.
When is the best time of year for senior pictures?
Late September through early November gives you Oklahoma fall color. February through April brings the tulips at the Botanic Garden. Both are gorgeous, and it comes down to whether you want warm tones or bright ones.
Can my parents or my dog come?
Yes to both. Family frames are included at no extra cost, and pets are genuinely welcome. Some of my favorite senior photos have a dog in them.
What should I wear for senior portraits?
Solid colors photograph better than busy patterns, and bring one outfit you actually feel like yourself in. I send a full what-to-wear guide once your date is booked.
